What Is Health Coaching?

Health coach is a master of habit change and not necessarily a master of assessment. It is someone who can help you to follow through and get results. The first master area of a health coach is food, lifestyle and relationship to food and lifestyle. In the mastery of essential nutrition, it’s the top 20% nutrition knowledge that is practical and simple and you can use to get a healthy version of yourself.

Health Coach can help you to find out which lifestyle changes will have the biggest impact for you through their mastery in understanding lifestyle changes. Health coach can help you make habit change that affect the top three lifestyle diseases – obesity, diabetes, heart disease. Health Coach is ideal to manage or reverse the Top Four Lifestyle Challenges – cravings, chronic dieting, overeating, emotional eating, compulsive and binge eating and body image issues. These lifestyle challenges are driven by habitual thought patterns and beliefs. They are not about food. With the skills of a health coach, you can be successful at transforming your relationship with food and your body.

As a holistic health coach I help people change habits, shift thought patterns and beliefs and change experience. The coach’s job is to help the client understand how they are creating their experience, and how to create a different experience. I don’t put health in a box, as it is not separate from love, money and spirituality.

As a holistic health coach, I use the Transformational Coaching Method paradigm. A paradigm is not an absolute truth, but it is a useful guideline that helps us unlock a way of thinking that expands our view, perspective and possibilities. How you do one thing is how you do everything, which reflects back to you whether you’re in alignment with who you truly are, or not. How do I know if that’s true ? It’s because when one area of your life is out of whack, another area will be out of whack too. Human life is a growth and evolution, and it’s ongoing. And whenever you get to where you want to go, you have a new sort of perspective, and chances are that you want something next. You are on the growth train toward the best version of your health.

A Health Coaching  is a safe, nonjudgement l place where you are  understood  and have the space for transformation.

What is Life Coaching?

A life coach is defined as someone who challenges you to question how you approach every aspect of your life. A life coach is someone who unlocks potential, so you are empowered to create anything you desire. It is also someone who inspires you to change the way you live day to day to be more aligned with who you wanna be.

Life Coaching is a collaborative partnership between coach and client where the coaching relationship continually gives all the power back to the client. As coach, I hold the premise that the client knows the answers to every question or challenge they may have in their life, even if those answers appear to be obscured, muddled, or hidden inside.

A life coach helps clients create anything they want, by helping their client move from victimhood to choice. Having choice = having freedom. Another way of saying this is accessing resourcefulness. Choice and empowerment that allows them to take inspired action in the direction of their desires. As a coach, I am holding a mirror for you to see the most empowered, alive and boldest version of yourself.

As a life coach I work with paradigms. A paradigm is something that makes the work work. They are not absolute truths, but they help us unlock a way of thinking that expands our view, expands our perspective into a more holistic perspective. One of my favorite paradigms  is that nothing changes in the world , or in anyone else until you change. Transformation starts with you. If you change how you think, then you will change how you feel. And what actions you take because the change within can allow you to take action in ways that you wouldn’t have. If you change yourself, you will change your world.

Who is Coaching for?

Have you ever thought about getting a coach ? A lot of people heard of coaching, but not many people understand what having a coach would mean to them or their business.

What can a coach do for you ? Good coach can help transform every aspect of your life. Good coach will help you work out exactly what you want and what they can do for you before they take your money. You can be struggling with your health, then you need a holistic health coach or you could be struggling with more personal things like self-confidence or self-esteem in which case you benefit more from a life coach.

Coaching is not for everyone, in fact it is for the minority. It’s only beneficial to people who genuinely want a change and are prepared to commit to making that change happen. If you truly want change ask yourself : What are you looking to achieve from working with a coach ? Your answer to this question will give you a good idea what type of coach you are looking for. There are value in having a conversation to see if coaching is gonna work for you.

 The reason for that is that the coach is gonna push you to do a little bit more than you feel comfortable with. Trying something that’s a little bit on the hairy edge of what your confidence level is. Coach is gonna really stretch you as one of the benefits of coaching. The other thing is that a coach can see from the outside how you are performing. You can’t see what your swing looks like.

1. STEP BACK

The first, Step back, of the Transformational Process can be facilitated in many different ways. That could be specific questions, exercises and handouts that allows you to step back and analyze your own map of how you are viewing the world and see if it is empowering or disempowering you.

2. LET GO

” Transformation is a continual process of letting go. You have to let go of something to reach the next stage of your evolution.”

 

3. SAY YES TO SELF

The third step, Say Yes, of the Transformational Process can be facilitated in many different ways. When you step back and assess how something, or someone , may or may not slowing you down or stopping you from taking the required action to create what you want. You are also helped to let go of the part of brain that says yes to an old habit, and instead say yes to a new habit.

4. TAKE EMPOWERED ACTION

Success is 75% who you are being when you take action. Having you set an intention for who you would like to be when take action is pivotal for creating empowered action.

5. SET UP ACCOUNTABILITY

What environment will cultivate and set you up for success? For inevitable success, surround yourself with people that you want to be mirroring.

Where do you receive your support ? This could be , another mentor you have in your life, a significant other, family member, co-worker or any other member in your community.

What level of  support do you need? Take into consideration how big of a goal it is and how much of a stretch it will require of you. This will help guide you how much support and accountability is realistic and necessary

Why Cleanse? A little bit of Science

Toxic chemicals abound in the world today – they easily find their way into our body through the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink. We also ingest -foreign chemicals when taking medicinal or  drugs, or when using alcohol or tobacco.

Although the body is designed to be self-cleaning and to excrete these toxins, it cannot always handle the overload present in today’s environment. Chemicals not excreted accumulate in our fat cells and cell membranes become internal toxins.

When the body is under stress, it releases those toxic waste products from the fat to circulate in the bloodstream. These toxins can damage the protective intestinal lining, literally corroding the body from the inside out; making it a less effective filter for the good nutrients we might be bringing in. The more it is damaged, the less effectively it absorbs nutrients, and the more toxins pass into the  blood and lymph systems. This is why elimination is so important during a cleanse!
